During his freshman year of high school, Elias Gutierrez, now 19, experienced a loss in his family. Afterward, Gutierrez struggled while attending his traditional high school and fell behind in his classes. It’s taken almost a full year, but the show must go on. And on Thursday, April 28, 2022, the much anticipated Pasadena ISD Athletics Hall of Fame Induction ceremony will be back to induct the Class of 2020. Nabila Munshi wins National Gold Medal at Scholastic Writing and Art contest

Dobie High School senior Nabila Munshi has earned the prestigious National Gold Medal award in the Scholastic Art and Writing Contest for her artwork titled, “Ornate Origins.” Inspired by artist Yulia Brodskaya, the 18”x24” art piece was created using a technique called paper quilling, the coiling and shaping of narrow paper strips to create a design.
