This page was developed to provide information about the Pasadena Independent School District Financial Compliance Department and to provide useful information regarding the financial review process and internal controls.  Financial Compliance Department shall provide an independent and objective evaluation and assurance to assist with accomplishing district objectives by implementing a systematic and disciplined approach for evaluating the district’s risk management, control and governance processes.    

The Financial Compliance Department conducts regularly scheduled reviews, special reviews at the request of the Board or Superintendent, and follow-up reviews on significant findings from previous financial reviews.   Financial Compliance conducts investigations of possible fraud and misuse of district property or personnel as they arise.  We review the systems established to ensure compliance with policies, plans, procedures, laws and regulations that could significantly affect operations and reports and whether the district is in compliance.  We monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the district’s risk management system.  In addition to formal reviews and control assessments, we are happy to answer questions regarding specific policies and procedures.  We work with parent organizations to ensure all required documents are obtained and submitted as per District Board Policy GE (Relations with Parent Organizations).
