Six Pasadena ISD schools recognized for state-level guidance counseling award

Six Pasadena ISD Schools earned CREST awards for excellence in guidance and counseling. CREST (Counselors Reinforcing Excellence for Students in Texas) recognizes schools across the state.

This year’s winning campuses and their guidance counselors are:

- Leticia Sanchez -  Burnett Elementary

- Ilsa Garza - Freeman Elementary

- Emily Ontiveras and Deronda Pitra -  Fred Roberts Middle School

- Shari Harris and Tracy Skripka - Lonnie B. Keller Middle School

- Meador Elementary - Tara Merida

- Danielle Knight and Santana Fairley -  Schneider Middle School 

The six campuses were among 76 winners selected for this achievement throughout the state.

Sponsored by the Texas School Counselor Association (TSCA), the honorees that were recognized as CREST winners demonstrated a commitment to students by providing them with classroom guidance, college and career readiness skills, along with social/emotional skills.
