Dedication ceremony to be held at L. F. Smith

Community members, former students and staff are invited to join L. F. Smith Elementary for a dedication ceremony of the new building on April 22, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The event will begin with a welcome and a meet and greet in the school’s cafeteria, followed by campus tours, choir performances and refreshments.
The building officially opened in August 2017, however the dedication ceremony was postponed due to Hurricane Harvey.
Principal Cathy Danna said that although the dedication ceremony has been delayed, it is still important for the campus to come together with the community to celebrate.
“L.F. Smith is a campus that is rich with history and traditions,” said Danna. “As we come together to dedicate our new building, we want to give community members, former students and staff the opportunity to celebrate the past and catch a glimpse of the vision and future of where our campus is heading.”
