Pasadena ISD high school art students design custom crosswalks

In a collaboration with Pasadena ISD’s Fine Arts Department, Safe Routes Pasadena and Harris County Public Health, Pasadena ISD high school students created custom crosswalks for several elementary schools in the district.

As part of the Pasadena Vibrant Crosswalks Contest, high school students across the district submitted designs for their crosswalks. After all entries were submitted, Safe Routes hosted a Facebook contest for the Pasadena community to vote for their favorite design.  Students whose artwork received the most votes will have their crosswalk design painted near the participating elementary school. The winning students also received a check and gift card to use towards their future artwork.

The winning students are listed below.
